GRC began installing the Signalling System for Taipei's Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system in 1990. GRC completed their scope of work in 2000. GRC's scope included Tamshui (Red) Line; Hsintien (Green) Line; Chungho (Orange) Line; Panchiao-NanKang (Blue) Line.

GRC responsibilities included detail design, equipment interface coordination, installation, field testing and maintenance plus numerous project administrative functions from cost control to materials and warehouse management. Completion of the above project demonstrated the capabilities of GRC in the signalling field.
